Superb. The project manager, Jeff, was excellent on the phone and with text updates and followup. The crew was experienced, worked masterfully as a team of craftsmen that had been together for a long time, and delivered a beautiful, professionally executed finished product. We're very happy with the every aspect of the project, and will recommend Damico Paving to our closest friends, if and when they need a new asphalt driveway.
J. Arends, St. Charles
As a realtor in the Naperville area - I was familiar with Damico and their great reputation in my area. I'm super happy with the outcome of the newly installed driveway at my rental house. Their schedule is crazy busy so if you're in the market for a driveway you will need to prepare to wait. They work pending weather and won't schedule if there is pending rain in the forecast & their business is at the mercy of the asphalt plant that supplies the material to do the job. With that said, scheduling can be tricky. Just prepare to be flexible, that fact that I'm impatient made this a struggle for me. The crew came and tore out the driveway the day before & on the day of the install a large crew came for the install. The crew was incredibly skilled & worked in perfect unison & had my small driveway installed within an hour. The end result was fantastic!!! An added bonus is the City of Aurora subsidized the curb-cut which was $400 of the job. Thanks Brad - the driveway is perfect!
P. Klan, Aurora
Excellent. Work crews were meticulous and their attention to detail exceeded my expectations. They arrived on time and performed their work and completely cleaned up. No damage to the lawn and they explained exactly how they would complete the project. An overall excellent experience.
R. Beck, Naperville
GREAT! Damico's bid was the lowest but also they provided the most detail about what they would be doing to put in the new driveway. We were going on vacation and wanted to get the driveway done before we left (since you can't drive on it for 5 days). They were able to accommodate the exact dates we requested and called to follow up about when they would be here. They had a large crew, all very professional. The supervisor was there through most of both days. Our new driveway looks amazing! Better than when we purchased the home new. I would absolutely recommend Damico to anyone needing a new driveway.
P. Fues, North Aurora
Driveway work was done as scheduled and completed on time. Brad the project manager was exceptional to work with. Kept me informed throughout the entire process. Even walked me through the permit process.
V. Wisner, Villa Park
Great job--Excellent!
R. Kephart, Elburn
Outstanding workmanship. Surpassed all expectations. Work completed as scheduled.
K. Johnaron, Aurora
Everything went smoothly without any issues or problems. Brad was very helpful throughout the whole process. The workers showed up on time. They were a team of about 6 or 7. Work was completed with lots of attention to detail. They worked quickly but not rushed. They have the whole process down really well. Overall very pleased with the new asphalt driveway.
K. Perez, St. Charles
I researched on Angie's List available vendors for a new driveway and it was quite apparent that Damico was the business to select. I met with Rob who answered all my questions. I appreciated his honesty. I told him I occasionally had a little seepage near my door and I queried if the new driveway would resolve my issue. He replied that if I had seepage before I most like will have seepage post driveway install. In short my driveway would not be a panacea for a prior non-driveway issue. I would say my only minor disappointment with the quote is that it does not indicate a per sq ft amount. The quote just says $3,000. Its difficult for me as a consumer to determine a good quote from a bad quote if I do not know what represents the $3,000. Note this is more of an industry disappointment, rather than a disappointment with Damico.
After research and getting another quote from a competitor, I felt $3,000 dollars was actually quite reasonable and I agreed to the job. Rob was excellent in handling all my calls prior to the job including a small snafu I had with the permit. I also talked to him twice after the install and he answered promptly... I thought the driveway turned out great. We recently had a major rainstorm and the new driveway made a huge difference. The pitch for the entire driveway was perfect. I plan on using them next spring for the sealing.
P. O'Brien, Westmont
Driveway looks great. Cracks were thoroughly sealed. Job was completed on time. The cost is the same that the competitors charge, but the quality is substantially better!
C. Baker, Geneva
Damico was out this morning, did a super neat and tidy job, no splashes onto the concrete patio or garage apron. They were responsive as soon as we called. They also called to let us know when they were going to do the work so that we could have our cars out of the garage. We did not have to be present. A10% off coupon was available for this provider.
S. Batzer, Villa Park
Replaced asphalt driveway, they showed up on time, removed old driveway, added base, regraded, cut edges, packed base and laid new asphalt spread and packed tamped edges. Great job. Just got new bid from them for other property.
L. Thomsen, Naperville
Replaced our disintegrated asphalt driveway, culverts, and filled in the ditch between the 2 entrances. Work was done in a timely manner, every member of the team with whom I spoke was courteous and professional. We had one issue: the edge of the driveway along our flower beds had bricks alongside. Our expectation was that they's be removed during the driveway installation and an edge created. Instead, the asphalt was butted up to the brickwork. After discussing this with Damico, I removed the bricks and they came back and created the desired edge. Great work! We've received many compliments on the improvement!
W. Armbrecht, Itasca
I called and left a message to get an estimate on replacing my asphalt driveway. Brad called me back the next day. Brad was very upfront in letting me know that he doesn't come to my area and that they could, but it would make his price not very competitive. He asked how big my driveway was and let me know a range of what I would pay and took the time on the phone to answer a few other questions for me. Very nice of him to call back so quickly to let me know they don't work in my area and to take the time on the phone to answer questions for me since this is the first time I am ever contracting for a driveway replacement. Thanks!
P.Hinkel, Palatine
They did good quality work at a great price.
D. Cygnar, Aurora
We have used Damico to redo our asphalt driveway a few years ago and we have the driveway sealed each year. They are not the least expensive, but quite good.
L. Robertson, St. Charles
Removed old driveway and installed a new one. Coordinated with our landscaper to provide the edging surrounding the driveway
D. Adams, Downers Grove
I couldn't be happier with the work that was performed. They showed up on time and did a fantastic job. I will definitely use them again in the future.
A. Linder, Glen Ellyn
They returned my initial phone call promptly and came when promised. I was not home when the job was done, so I had no direct contact with the workers, but the driveway looked great when they were finished.
J. Swanson, Naperville
Excellent, professional work. Very clean. Very polite. Did my driveway and my neighbor's driveway.
T. Schreiner, Mount Prospect
They removed our old asphalt driveway and replaced it with a new asphalt driveway and also widened the driveway by about two feet. They did a nice job and repaired anything that was disturbed by the work. We stayed off the driveway for a week. The driveway has been holding up well for the past 6 months. Their prices were not the lowest or the most expensive.
B. Lazzara, Arlington Heights
We chose Damico paving over a few other companies from whom we got estimates. We chose them over two other contractors, whose estimates were a little less, because they were so knowledgable. They were the only ones to point out two other problems we had with our driveway; drainage from the roof of the house, and broken curb at the street. Had we not addressed those issues prior to the installation of our new driveway, it would have seriously cut down the life span of the new one we had installed. Once the drive was in, we were blown away. It's a thing of beauty. Several friends also commented on what a nice job they did. The drive is thick, packed well and graded beautifully.
M. Strawbridge, Western Springs
Damico Paving did the driveway. My experience with them was fine. They were priced moderately. They had done some work in the neighborhood. So it was easy for me to go and look at. They had a good reputation online.
K. Anderson, Aurora
Everyone working on the project was very professional, well qualified to do the job, courteous, hard working and a pleasure to work with. We would definitely use them again.
W. Nicholson, Geneva
The sales person provided detailed information on the materials, composition and quantity (thickness of base material, stone and asphalt material) and explained the advantages of the material composition and make-up they do against other methods. He also provided local references and identified recent driveway work in the neighborhood they accomplished for us to review. He also identified several installations by other contractors and suggested I evaluate those against their work. He provided documents that explained the installation and website links for me to research on my own. The cost quoted was the cost charged. The actual installation went very well. It is obvious the team is experienced and have a system to remove the old driveway and install the new quickly, efficiently and with precision. They paid close attention to detail with the edge tamping, placement of our Invisible Fence wire and transition seam with the existing concrete section at the top of the driveway. They also cut the street asphalt and removed debris versus just laying new asphalt over the old, which will "pop" up or degrade both surfaces very quickly. I do want to note that I was home during the installation and periodically checked on progress. I've found this tends to improve the attention to details and overall finished product quality of a contractor. I would suggest getting several bids and comparing because this lets them know you've done your homework and helps gain the best cost structure possible. They were higher than most but not the highest cost. Note, we reviewed the installations of lower cost contractors and the difference in quality and attention to detail was obvious. The key for me was cutting seams at interfaces with other surfaces versus just applying new asphalt over those surfaces.
R. Loess, Campton Hills
They did a nice job and were very reasonable with their pricing. I would recommend them to others.
T. Vosicky
They did great. They are very clean, quick and the price is also reasonable.
W. Smith, Villa Park
Very professional and they do a good job. Price may be higher than other companies, but my driveway looks a lot better than my neighbors (both surfaced about the same time) who used another company. |My only small complaint is that they give you a 2 to 3 week window when they will be in your area, then call the night before they will be there. I know their business is weather dependent, but I would prefer a little more advance notice about the day they plan to be there - so I can be there too. Still, I rate them an "A" and would use them again.
P. Loague, Aurora
Seal coated driveway. They provided additional options since the driveway was in bad shape. Appreciated their advice. Top quality service.
K. Hogsed, Naperville
Brad came out and did the quote in early May, I had one other quote that was about the same price but Damico was offering an extra 1/2 inch of asphalt so I went with them. Now scheduling did take a little longer than we would have hoped but with all the rain we had in May and June it is to be expected. You obviously can't be tearing out driveways and laying asphalt in the rain. I still gave an A for responsiveness because when I did call for an update they would call right back and they can't control the weather.
The crew came out on Wednesday and tore out the driveway and prepped the base for reinstallation the next day. I had some sloping issues which the crew addressed as I wanted. The city inspector came by gave the ok and the next day a crew of about seven guys came and did a fantastic putting down the new asphalt. Very impressive, they did their jobs without hardly saying a word to each other, they all know exactly what to do and you could tell took pride in their work. They paid vey close attention to details, making sure the slope was right, the edges properly tamped down, the joint with the sidewalk was clean. Since driveway replacement is not something you go through often, you really need to rely on the input of others. I was very happy with Damico and would recommend them for asphalt work.
B. O'Dea, Naperville
Complete removal of my original asphalt driveway, upgraded stone base, compacted the base and added 3" of new asphalt, neatly tamped edges and rolled out the entire new surface. I would recommend Damico Paving to any of my friends and neighbors. Damico Paving is a professional paving company that uses only the best in materials. I don't think anyone would be disappointed with their work results.
N. Hanrahan, Winfield
I called in May to get things going, Brad was very helpful and polite, helping me with the permit process; even filling out the request forms for me. He then got me onto their very busy summer schedule. It took until August, but once I had an appointment, everything went like clockwork. They descended on my driveway with an armada of specialty equipment , finished in good time , and did a beautiful job. Brad was very pleasant to deal with and provided written instructions for care, both short and long term. I highly recommend this company.
K. Kenyon, Aurora
Damico paving did a wonderful job replacing our current driveway. After acquiring my city permit I contacted Brad and gave him my permit number. He then told me he would call me back in a week or two with a scheduled date. I heard from him a few weeks later and he gave me the date of August 8th. On the 7th of August they came to prep the driveway, removed all of the existing asphalt, added stone where needed, and then compacted everything. The paving crew showed up the following day and worked like a well oiled machine. It was like watching a paving ballet, everyone knew where they needed to be, exactly when they needed to be there. From start to finish they were professional, courteous, and did an overall wonderful job. The driveway looks great and I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. I will be hiring them next year for the first seal coat.
B. Herdrich, Aurora
Repaved main driveway from street to garage; sealcoated existing loop from main drive to front of house. Rob and his crew were prompt and completed the repaving of the main driveway quickly. They were very cooperative in discussing a couple specific issues, and also removed the buried concrete base of a basketball post that had been right next to the driveway. The sealcoating was deferred until after the main drive had had a few days to cure, and then the weather turned cool and wet causing it to be delayed still more. But the crew showed up late on a Friday afternoon and finished up the work for us. All in all, everything looks GREAT!
J. Newman, Batavia
Added new asphalt driveway for new garage in backyard to front of house. This was a brand new install, no existing driveway. They dug, gravelled, asphalted, etc. Fantastic!!! Fast, courteous, professional from bid to final completion of work. (We got 3 other bids and there is no comparison on who to use or why). We love the look, quality etc. of the driveway. We are completely impressed. We have asked them to give us another bid to redo our original driveway in front of house. They can't bid until late March/early April due to asphalt pricing, but we can't wait to have them do our front driveway. When I see their signs on people's driveway, I think...lucky family, they are getting the best work done around.
S. Alderson, Batavia, IL
Tore out and resurfaced 100 ft asphalt driveway that butted right up against home. Excellent results. Driveway was removed and replaced in 3 hours with no damage to nearby home. They did the work promised at the promised price.
J. Halter, Glen Ellyn, IL
Removed the old asphalt, laid a bed of new asphalt, and widened the driveway. They were very polite, kept to the schedule and had it done within the afternoon. The whole thing was just very efficient.
D. Benjamin, Geneva, IL
Damico not only tore off and repaved the driveway, but also installed a catch basin and about 100 feet of 6 inch pipe down to the street at the bottom of the hill. They also did an excellent job of sloping the driveway away from the house, but not just into the neighbor's yard either. Most paving companies were not interested in this complex job, or one company gave a significantly higher estimate.
Overall, Damico did an excellent job. Robert was responsive and answered the phone calls, and after difficulty setting up a good time, once it did start, the workers showed up on the appointed dates and times. We did purchase the drainage materials from a drainage material company ourselves, but this enabled us to be more informed about the options. Damico installed the basin and pipe, which the drainage material company delivered the day before. We had a heavy rain after the installation, and the drainage worked well, the slope of the driveway was good.
M. Lundberg, Elmhurst, IL
They took out the old driveway and part of an old sidewalk. They laid down blacktop, stamped it and colored it to make it look like brick. It was excellent because they gave me a true estimate, showed up on time, and got the work done quickly and efficiently. The price was reasonable and the driveway looks great.
P. Connolly, St. Charles, IL
After receiving a very thorough estimate, Dominick came out and inspected the proposed area for the driveway. talked through the details with me and then did a flawless pave job. We are so pleased and would definitely use them again.
K. Thomas, North Barrington, IL
I used Damico Paving to pave my driveway last week. They did a complete tear out of my asphalt driveway and a replacement. It was a good experience. The quality of the job and everybody was great. The efficiency, they were in and out of here, it was like a machine. They were very meticulous and the clean up was good. I was very pleased with the result as well.
C. Morgenroth, St. Charles, IL
Repaved my driveway with blacktop. The job they did was excellent. Professionally done and absolutely no mess when they were finished. It has been
about a year now and I am still extremely happy with the job they did, I just had them out to seal the driveway a
few days ago and again I received a great job with absolutely no mess. I can honestly recommend Damico Paving without any reservations.
R. Gulbrandsen, Elgin, IL
Repaved and extended asphalt driveway.
Damico was great. It took a week or two to get a quote and to schedule the work, but they did a fantastic job at a competitive price. I'll definitely be calling them to seal the drive every other fall.
B. Appelhans, Wheaton, IL
Removed old asphalt driveway and installed new one. Great job! Courteous, on time, and good price.
P. Zuk
We couldn't be happier with our experience. Once I got the building permit, it seemed that Mother Nature was working against us: we had the rainiest June on record. Our sales rep, Brad, was very responsive, and he was so efficient, he was able to schedule the first of the two village-required inspections just two hours after they removed the old drive and compacted the stone, right before yet another deluge.
Thanks to the nearly daily thunderstorms, it took an extra week on top of the usual wait time for the crew to be able to remove the old asphalt, and then it was an additional week before they could put in the new asphalt. The installation delay was not their fault, and Brad kept me apprised of the schedule. They were finally able to get our new driveway laid down today (on a Saturday), and it looks fantastic. The crew of five worked quickly and when they left, there was no loose asphalt anywhere and the edges along the brick pavers on each side of the driveway and along the sidewalk were sharp and clean. I was afraid that we'd have to remove or replace the pavers, but Brad assured me that wouldn't be necessary, and he was right.
I highly recommend Damico Paving.
P. Heise, Palatine, IL
Installed new asphalt driveway.
Outstanding. They responded quickly for my request for a quote. Once we hired them, they installed the driveway when promised and did an exceptional job. The new driveway looks fantastic.
T. Janko, Elmhurst, IL
Removed old asphalt driveway and installed new one.
Damico was very prompt in providing an estimate. They did the work 3 weeks after originally stated it would be done.
Having said that, when they did the work, it was excellent. It was completed very quickly and we are pleased with the quality.
D. Musheno, Batavia, IL
Removed old driveway and replaced with new.
Very happy with overall experience. When I called for an estimate and had questions later all calls were returned promptly.
Crew showed up on time, had the old driveway removed and a new one installed (approx 2200 sq ft) in about 4-5 hours.
Everyone I dealt with at Damico was friendly and professional. Definitely would recommend them and I would use them again.
This is how work is supposed to be done!
D. Lee, St. Charles, IL
Damico Paving repaved my driveway.
I had an excellent experience with them. They were very neat and very thorough. Their cleanup was good. What I like about them the most is probably the way their crew works together. They just interact great; everybody knows what they are going to do next. They are very cohesive to get the job done pretty fast. They are very efficient. There price is competitive.
D. Zittler, Hoffman Estates, IL
Our asphalt driveway was crumbling and large chunks were breaking off. We had put a second layer of asphalt down ten years ago and it did not last. Damico explained that the underlying base was damaged and that repairs couldn't ensure that the driveway would last. We chose to accept the recommendation to totally replace the base and asphalt. The old asphalt was removed. The underlying base was built up. New asphalt was laid down. In addition, we added the service to cut our curb which had a large, steep rise at the bottom of a rising driveway.
First contact was last summer. Because the underlying base was damaged, the estimate to replace the driveway was more than we could spend. We discussed with Damico waiting until spring. In April, they still had our paperwork and agreed to schedule as soon as the weather allowed. On April 29, 2013, the work on the driveway began. The work is of high quality. The workers were very professional and polite. The work was done well, quickly, and looks great! I chose Damico because of the ratings on Angie's List and I was not disappointed! The paperwork was very understandable and gave us clear instructions. We were given care instructions and dos and don'ts.
R. Davis, Warrenville, IL

R. Kendra, Western Springs, IL
They had done sealcoating of my driveway in June of this year. They were very prompt and efficient and finished the job as promised. But after a couple of months when I noticed minor problems I talked to Brad and Vince of Damico. Brad came and inspected the driveway and felt that because our driveway has an L shape sometimes driving back and forth to get out of the garage causes tiremarks. But they came back within a week or so and redid the sealcoating free of charge. I think they and their staff were excellent and gave us useful tips to maintain the driveway free of problems. Their customer service in response to a minor issue was very responsive.
As discussed above Damico is a customer oriented company and I will use them again.
R. Prasad, Oak Brook, IL
Damico Paving removed old asphalt and repaved.
They overall did a great job. They were responsive with phone calls. They were great with their written estimate.
J. Kim, Lombard, IL
Repaired cracks and sealcoated driveway.
Everything went fine from pricing to the service.
Quote was prompt. They said it would be about a week. Called the day before and said they would be out about 7:30am the next day.
Crew was there on time, completed the work promptly and professionally.
Price was probably a little higher than another provider but I thought the professionalism was worth it.

Damico came out to the house and provided an estimate as promised. Their estimate was lower than the paving company we had used previously. Because of their excellent reviews and the competitive quote, we decided to give them a try. We were not home when they completed the job, but the driveway looked great the area around the driveway was neat and clean.
D. Egan, St. Charles, IL
I called Damico based on the solid reviews in Angie's list. I was not disappointed. They responded quickly and quoted the job at a cost that was approximately what I expected. Village permits were my responsibility which were $85 plus I had to post a $200 bond which was returned. I asked one of the people in the permit department if they were familiar with Damico and he said he saw a lot of requests with the job being done by Damico. I followed up with a question about complaints and he responded that I should not have any problems.
We scheduled an appointment which was a few weeks away as they were busy. They came out as scheduled and were there all day as the tear off and preparation had to be inspected by the Village before they could lay the asphalt.
The job was finished as scheduled and they did an excellent job. The job site was left in a very clean condition as well. All of the people and equipment were at my house throughout the day.
Very professional. I would highly recommend.
L. Steinberg, Arlington Heights, IL
I initially contacted the company for an estimate. The person who answered the phone was very pleasant and told me exactly what to expect. Within 2 days I received a written estimate. I was pleased with the quote (I was able to use a coupon from Angie's List for an additional 10% discount) and called them back to be placed on the schedule. Within a week they called to let me know they would be coming out the next day and reminded me to move the cars out of the garage. The work was done on time and to my satisfaction. I have no complaints and plan on continuing to use them in the future.
S. Lorenz, Schaumburg, IL
This was a standard driveway repave. From street to garage, inlcuding the city side area that includes water on/off.
I pursued four estimates in preparation for this work. One from Angies List (Damico), another from a recommendation from a friend who just had his driveway repaved.
I was interested in the explanation and estimation for base preparation and also thickness of layers. I did get adequate explanation from Damico. One of the others estimators got into an elaboration around thickness of asphalt needed and the possible need for several layers, which didn't square to my understanding.
I did reject the estimate from the company my friend referenced. I think as soon as the estimator heard it was a friends referral, he translated that as - I have the job anyway, so lets jack up the price by $1000, so he was out.
I do compliment Damico for the following items:
1) A very competitive estimate - best of the four.
2) A useful consultation around how the building permit would need to be handled. (This was the tricky part, because the city controls the street to sidewalk side and requires a permit with inspections to make sure none of the water infrastructure has been damaged).
3) The permit delayed things, but once we had that in hand, we agreed the date and they stuck to it. However, we had a rain delay and the foreman agreed that the weather would affect the integrity of the outcome, so he judiciously delayed the work to the next day he could get the inspector there when good weather was expected.
4) On the day of the job, the orchestration of the different activities was somewhat impressive; clearly these people do this alot and every member of the team knew what to do and when to do it.
5) The work was done in one day and was exactly the outcome I was looking for.
We have been advised to wait one year before seal-coating the new asphalt which we will do. Only time will tell how well these materials hold up. But up to now, I believe I definitely choose the right company for the job and would indeed recommend them to others. Very professional, very experienced, and very customer-oriented.
Provided crack filling and sealing of asphalt driveway.
In an industry full of unreliable companies, Damico is a gem. They were very responsive with phone calls. They were very polite and customer service oriented. The crew arrived right on time, were very friendly and did an excellent job. I highly recommend using Damico for residential sealcoating, or commercial work in parking lots, etc.
C. Kimball, Wheaton, IL
After receiving a very thorough estimate, Dominick came out and inspected the proposed area for the driveway. talked through the details with me and then did a flawless pave job. We are so pleased and would definitely use them again.
Damico Paving sealed our driveway. They did a great job. They were very professional, good price, and very fair.
L. Robertson, St. Charles, IL
I left a message on their answering machine asking for a quote but not expecting a fast response. I received a call the same morning from a man who had clearly listened to my message because he had already looked at his calendar and had some date suggestions for providing an estimate, based on the message I left with my availability. When he called back, he was cheerful and patiently answered all my questions (since I had never had a driveway replaced before). He also quickly set my expectations, explaining that with the truckers currently on strike, it may be a few days before he could complete the job. The estimate was at my door within 48 hours!
I had several estimates, but I chose Damico because of the fast response and the details in the estimate. They even included a page of tips to remember when getting your driveway replaced.... and they were not all slanted to Damico. Very nice.
They did a great job. They arrived as scheduled and when I got home from work that night, the work had been accomplished and the worksite was clean and neat. They had even ground down part of my cement curb which now gives me a very smooth turn into my garage. No dug up lawn, no tire treads across my lawn, very clean and neat.
I would use them again and would recommend them without hesitation.
T. Maxfield, Naperville, IL
Our asphalt driveway was replaced completely, including the drainage pipe under the driveway; we do not have sewers in our un-incorporated area. We asked three companies out to bid. One didn't show up, a local company bid $500.00 more so we hired this company. They showed up on time, removed our very weathered driveway and replaced it. The contractor even replaced an area of adjacent walkway that was tilted, for a very nominal fee. It looks beautiful,if an asphalt driveway can look beautiful, perfectly edged and molded. Our neighbors have even complimented us and I've seen this company's signs on other driveways in the neighborhood. The driveway has held up perfectly over the last two years and we've had the same company sealcoat it. We wouldn't use anyone else.
T. Maher, Medinah, IL
I needed to seal my driveway, the previous contractor who repaved it didn't return my calls when the front part (near the apron) started to flake/sprawl out in a few spots. Carolyn came out and gave me a detailed, firm estimate. The work was scheduled for the following week. The techs arrived, prepped the driveway with blowers, pulled out the weeds at the cracks and hand-applied a top-quality sealant. This was about 2 months ago and the driveway still looks great. The sealant they used filled cracks well. Good job overall!
M. Longo, Geneva, IL
This work was done for our church in Batavia, IL. Parts of the parking lot had buckled and in other areas the blacktop was broken apart. The concrete approach to the rear door of the church was cracked and had low areas that collected water and ice. Damico came out and removed the old blacktop from the buckled and crumbled areas and patched them with new blacktop. They broke out the concrete approaching the rear door and replaced it with blacktop so the water would run away from the entrance.
Damico was prompt with their estimate and they did the work quickly after their proposal was accepted. The repairs were done thoroughly and in a manner that should last for a number of years. I would recommend them.

V. Koch, West Chicago, IL
Brad was patient enough to explain to me the difference on what comes with the service and why the pricing is significantly above than the contractors driving around with flyers. Overall, excellent and fast service. Went out in the morning and came back 3 hours later with the driveway coated already.
O. Rivera, Aurora, IL
They did our driveway. They removed the old asphalt and redid the whole thing. They did an excellent job! They were very nice to deal with and were responsive. Everybody that came by the house complimented on how nice it now looks.
L. Chase, Rolling Meadows, IL
The overall experience was very positive. They worked with me on finding a date, showed up on time and did a very good job. They were slightly less expensive than some and much less expensive than Elia who I had used before.
B. Lowell, Hinsdale, IL
A top-notch job at a reasonable price. Brad from Damico was the fastest to deliver a quote, and the price was comparable to other respected companies. He answered my followup questions thoroughly, and was able to schedule the job the same week - very fast! My only minor complaint is that I was told they would do the job in the morning, but it was actually the afternoon.
I discussed the job again with Brad when he arrived. Then a small crew arrived to remove the existing asphalt with a bobcat, add more stone to the base, and thoroughly spread and compact the stone. They removed some grass and dirt to widen the driveway slightly and straighten the edges. They also cut my concrete front walk to line up with the new driveway edge - they did not just pave around the walk like some of my neighbors driveways.
When they were finished, a large crew (8 men, plus truck drivers!) arrived and laid the new asphalt. They had professional-grade equipment, and everyone worked very quickly and efficiently. It was impressive to watch. They laid 3" of asphalt, after compaction. They rolled the driveway and tamped the edges for almost an hour - a very thorough job. Brad returned to make sure I was satisfied with the work, and he left me with a care sheet (how long to stay off the drive, when to have it sealed, etc.).
The new driveway looks great and I am confident that it will last a long time.

Company provided estimate during the requested timeframe. Upon accepting the estimate I was contacted to schedule an appointment for the work. The company completed work on time and on budget. The work performed was very clean, complete, and professional. I am very satisfied with the results. I would recommend this company.
R. Winters, Hinsdale, IL
They took up the old asphalt and installed a new driveway. The driveway looks great.
D. Reid, Hoffman Estates, IL
Replaced driveway with new asphalt surrounded with metal edging. Also added a parking spot in front of my house (20x20). Removed 2 concrete slabs. Arrived on time with a large crew and finished in 7 hours, they removed all the debris and cleaned up very well.
M. Omoto, Willow Springs, IL
They removed the old asphalt driveway and they put in a stamped asphalt driveway. It is a huge driveway! They were fantastic. There was a small problem with the paint and they offered to have me not pay in full until it was fixed. I went ahead and paid and Vince was true to his word and they came out and fixed it. I wanted to see how it weathered through the winter and it looks beautiful after all the rain and snow we have had.

Prepared and seal coated my 3 car driveway; roped it off when finished. Pre-sealed small cracks prior to seal coating. I called and requested a price quote on Thursday and received a written estimate in my mailbox within 48 hours. I submitted the request to have the work done on a Monday at which time I was told it could be up to two weeks, depending on when they were next scheduled in my area. They called on Wednesday evening and informed me that they would complete the work the following afternoon which they did. The work was completed as well as I could have expected; the edges were neat and there was no spillage on the sidewalk.

Damico Paving did our driveway sometime in September. I would definitely recommend them. They did an excellent job. They were neat and clean. Their price was right.
F. Barth, Addison, IL
Completely replaced double driveway and installed drainage area between garages. Went down to gravel base, added metal edging, had to remove sidewalk no one knew was under driveway. Although we had some issues with the schedule, Robert and his team were excellent once the job started. Our town is NOT known for being cooperative with contractors and this was part of the scheduling problem also. They ran into a sidewalk none of us knew was there, and designed a drainage system with the foreman that has completely taken care of a drainage problem we have had for decades (that other companies insisted that we must install a very $$$ French drain system). I didn't want to write the review until it really rained and this was the flooding week in Chicago area and we had NO standing water!! They gave us references for metal edging which has made a huge difference in looks

Completely removed old asphalt driveway, including partial under layer of concrete. Laid down base of crushed stone and then pour a 2.5" layer of asphalt with 45 degree sloped sides. All work to be in accordance with local building code as verified by intermediate and final inspection by village building department. Our existing driveway was deteriorating at an accelerating rate. Damico was the lowest of three bidders. The work itself was absolutely first rate. The crew that tore out the old driveway was clearly professional and experienced. Their teamwork was such that they rarely needed to speak to each other, but everyone was always in the right spot as trucks, front-loader and shovelers coordinated movements. They left the job site in a clean and orderly condition, while we waited a few days for the inspector. I was not home for the phase of laying down the new asphalt. It took only a few hours. When I got home about 11:00 a.m. the job was done, the site was clean, and they had left written instructions regarding care for the new surface.
R. Olsen, Mt. Prospect, IL
Provided sealcoating on two driveways and did a nice job. Quote and service were both professional.
D. Perkins, St. Charles, IL
Damico exceeded my expectations on how beautiful a driveway can be, when done the correct way. I Highly Recommend this company to anyone in need of a driveway and would definitely use them again in the future. Thanks for the Great Job.
J. Carlson, Elk Grove Village, IL
I was very pleased with them. I spent $4700 on the job. They did what they said. I had had my driveway done 20 years ago. The drainage was never what I wanted. This time it was done perfectly. The driveway is very long. I will definitely use this company again in the future.
R. Jalovec, Downers Grove, IL
Redid asphalt driveway to make two car driveway a three car driveway. They did great! Robert worked alot for me with the City of Wheaton. I think it was because of him that we finally got it done. We had a problem with drainage and they put their heads together and came up with the best solution.

R&R existing blacktop drive, two car driveway in front and one car drive along side of house. Excellent work, especially in removing old drive without disturbing adjacent paver walks and trees. They showed up on time with a great crew all interested in Customer Satisfaction. They verified proper slopes with me and allowed me to review each step of the process. They also timed the work to accommodate the Village inspector.
B. Gustafson, North Aurora
Replaced 15' x 20" of asphalt driveway, installed new 24' section of flow through pipe and cleaned and resealed balance of driveway.
Driveway was caving in at opening. There was some concern about the flow through pipe. Contractor started process of removing old driveway and determined that pipe has rusted and needed to be replaced. Ordered new pipe and installed and completed driveway repair and two days later re-coated driveway. Crew was excellent and professional and cleaned up area. Very pleased with results and business attitude of owner.
R. Brand, Elgin, IL
I used the services of Damico Paving about two weeks ago for sealcoating my driveway. My experience with them was very good. They stuck to their schedule and speed. They were low cost as well. I recommended them to my neighbor and they have hired them as well. I would use their services in the future too.
W. Szorc, St. Charles, IL
Removed original driveway, installed new driveway. They were very professional; quick estimate. Job got delayed a bit due to a strike this summer, but as soon as it was over, they called, scheduled it and did a GREAT job!
L. Miller, Winfield, IL
Damico Paving put a full basketball court in my backyard. They did an excellent job. The court was done very well. The coating they used on the court was the same that professional courts have and they painted the lines on for us. They also made it thick enough to park cars on so we could use it for parking if chose to. They did a great job for us.
R. Reid, Chicago, IL
Removed old driveway and hauled away. Rolled out base. Laid new asphalt and rolled out. Crew was very courteous and well organized. Whole job took about three hours. Everything left neat and clean. New driveway looks better than brand new!
B. Quirin, Naperville, IL
THIS COMPANY IS JUST EXCELLENT TO DEAL WITH -- THEY DID EVERYTHING THEY SAID THEY WOULD AND THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORKMANSHIP WAS EXCELLENT.
M. Ilg, Glen Ellyn, IL
They came out to tear out my old driveway and install a new one. I highly recommend them. They came around seven, had it out by nine, came back at 1:30 and had it installed by 4:30. It was done very professionally and very efficiently and I was pleased with the work that they did.
C. Penar, Hanover Park, IL
They came and laid a new 150 foot asphalt driveway for me. They graded the area prior to putting the asphalt down. I would highly recommend them. They did excellent work and I am very happy with it. The process went smoothly and it looks nice. I can't say anything negative about them. They did as planned. There was no old driveway to tear up; they were putting a brand new one in.
